Financial Group Cost Analyst (m/f/d)

Your role within Group Financial Planning & Analysis:

As a key part of our Group Financial Planning & Analysis (GFP&A) team you will be playing an important role in developing Bauer Media Group as a multi-business company. In this role, you will be an active partner for the group functions and the Executive Board by defining and implementing standard as well as ad-hoc cost reporting. Furthermore, you will be driving the budget and forecast processes for this group and be responsible for the cost allocations. Your day to day:
  • Preparation of standard and ad-hoc reporting for all group functions incl. relevant financials (P&L, BS, CF), non-financial KPIs and benchmarks
  • Responsible for the execution of the planning process of group functions
  • Monitoring of plan-deviations and proposal of countermeasures in close cooperation with budget holders
  • Active Business Partner for group functions such as IT, HR, Communication, Legal etc.
  • Responsible for:
    • internal group cost allocation
    • planning & analysis of group projects
    • financial guidelines related to the group functions
  • Support management with structured analysis, preparation of decision processes and execution of planning processes
  • Support management with methodological skills, identification of potential improvement areas and supervision of the implementation of measures
  • Active driver of the development of financial processes and tools by implementing state- of-the-art tools and processes 

Your profile:
  • Successfully completed business studies, ideally with a focus on finance and controlling
  • Min. 5 years of professional experience in a comparable position
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and ERP- and Reporting-Systems (e.g. SAP FI/CO and SAP BW/Analytics Cloud)
  • Excellent knowledge of German and business fluent English (verbally and written)
  • Sound analytical, conceptual and interpersonal skills with the drive for results
  • Assertive communication
