For our team "Database" we are looking as soon as possible for a

Database Administrator (f/m/d)

  • Installation, support and monitoring of Microsoft SQL Server database systems
  • Planning and implementation of the following MS-SQL database and infrastructure activities:
    • Upgrades, Migration, Patching, Backup/Restore/Recovery
    • Performance analyses and optimization
    • Further development of operating concepts
    • 2nd level support in all aspects of MS-SQL database systems

  • At least 3 years’ professional experience in MS-SQL database administration, using versions from 2008 onwards
  • Competent handling of backup/restore via MS-SQL and 3rd-party tools
  • Familiarity with scripting in the DBA environment
  • Experience in installing and maintaining multiple database instances
  • Complete familiarity with MS-SQL tools such as SSMS and Profiler
  • A thorough understanding of relational database concepts, Agent jobs and SQL statements
  • At least some familiarity with MS-SQL BI tools such as SSRS, SSIS and SSAS
  • MS-Windows Server Operating System experience
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and performance concepts
  • An understanding of role-based database permissions in MS-SQL
  • Experience as a developer using relational databases is a distinct advantage
  • Knowledge or experience of another RDBMS such as Oracle or MySQL is an advantage
  • Knowledge or experience of Linux and / or scripting is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of German and English (written and spoken)
  • Analytical thinking skills and the ability to communicate complex circumstances in an understandable way
  • Independent worker with high quality standards, commitment and an enthusiasm to share ideas and learn technological developments
