Bauers Global Technology group sets the technology strategy for Bauer companies worldwide. One important stream in this journey is the development and constant maintenance of a group wide Information Security Program covering all relevant business areas. This includes the protection of enterprise IT systems and services as well as digital customer facing services within our Publishing, Audio, Online Comparison Platform (OCP) and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) businesses.

Within this comprehensive and exciting area the newly established role of a
 
Working Student (Werksstudent) IT-Security (f/m/d)
 
shall support the global IT-Security team in a variety of tasks.


Key responsibilities for this role will be:
  • Support security status assessments by collecting, summarising and presenting status quo information (KPI and KRI assessments)
  • Support the development of technical solutions to address given risks and threats by visualising group-developed concepts and conducting market researches
  • Support the implementation and constant development of Bauer’s IT-Security Frameworks as well as ongoing projects by taking over administrative tasks such as maintenance of tickets and extensive lists
  • Support reporting activities of IT projects for various target groups in an international environment
  • Contribute to the quarterly goals of the security team via objectives and key results and take over responsibility for the delivery of defined key results
Key Qualifications:
  • Enrolled full-time student, preferred in Information Technology, Engineering, Natural Sciences, Business Information Technology, IT-Security, Risk Management or comparable studies
  • General understanding of and interest in Information Technologies terminology, architectures, concepts and technologies
  • Analytical mind capable of managing numerous information sources and providing data analysis reports
  • Effective and creative problem-solving skills
  • Experienced in usage of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluent in English (must have) and German (desirable) language skills in verbal and written form
